How Australia Lucky Queena Pty Ltd handles personal information under the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles.
1. Who we are
This policy applies to Australia Lucky Queena Pty Ltd (ABN 93 703 526 989, ACN 703 526 989), a company registered in Victoria (“we”, “us”, “our”). It explains how we manage personal information in line with the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles (APPs). We aim to follow the APPs in all our dealings with personal information, whether or not a particular obligation applies to a business of our size.
2. What we collect
We only collect personal information that is reasonably necessary for our business. Depending on how you deal with us, this may include:
- your name and email address;
- the business you represent, if you are enquiring for a business;
- delivery details needed to supply an order;
- the content of your enquiries and our correspondence with you;
- order and payment records required for tax and accounting purposes.
We do not intentionally collect sensitive information (such as health information or information about racial or ethnic origin). If you choose to deal with us anonymously or under a pseudonym, we will allow it where it is practical, although we will usually need a name and email address to answer an enquiry or supply an order.
3. How we collect it
We collect personal information directly from you, usually when you email us, use the enquiry form on our contact page (which opens a message in your own email app), request a quote, or place an order. If we receive personal information we did not ask for, we will destroy or de-identify it where it is lawful and reasonable to do so.
4. How we use it
We use personal information to:
- respond to your enquiries and prepare quotes;
- process, supply and follow up on orders;
- handle returns, refunds and complaints;
- meet our legal, tax and record-keeping obligations.
We will not use your information for direct marketing unless you have agreed to it, and you can ask us to stop at any time. We do not sell personal information.
5. Disclosure
We may disclose personal information to third parties only where it is needed for the purposes above, for example to delivery providers, payment processors, our accountants and professional advisers, or our email and website hosting providers. We may also disclose information where required or authorised by law.
6. Overseas disclosure
Some of the service providers we use, such as email and website hosting services, may store or process data on servers located outside Australia. Where this happens, we take reasonable steps under APP 8 to ensure the recipient handles the information in a way that is consistent with the APPs.
7. Cookies
This website is a simple information site. We do not use cookies for advertising, analytics or tracking, and we do not run third-party tracking scripts. Our hosting provider may automatically record standard technical information, such as your IP address, browser type and the pages requested, for security and to keep the site running. We do not use this information to identify you.
8. Storage and security
We take reasonable steps to protect personal information from misuse, interference, loss, and unauthorised access, modification or disclosure. Information is held in password-protected email and business systems. When we no longer need personal information for any lawful purpose, we take reasonable steps to destroy or de-identify it, subject to the record-keeping periods required by law.
9. Access and correction
You may ask for access to the personal information we hold about you, or ask us to correct it if it is inaccurate, out of date, incomplete or misleading. Email [email protected] with your request. We will respond within a reasonable period, usually within 30 days. If we refuse a request, we will tell you why in writing, as the APPs require.
10. Complaints
If you believe we have breached the APPs, please contact us first at [email protected] and describe the issue. We will acknowledge your complaint and aim to resolve it within 30 days.
If you are not satisfied with our response, you can lodge a complaint with the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (OAIC) through its website at oaic.gov.au.
11. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The current version will always be published on this page, with the date it was last updated shown at the top.
